Angst-driven biker movie with a young Jack Nicholson as a petrol station attendant who falls in with a bunch of bikers and comes into direct competition with the leader (Adam Rourke) over the gang's best woman. Real-life hell's angels president Sonny Barger worked as a technical adviser on the film and Laszlo Kovacs served as the cinematographer (before going to work on the more famous biker movie 'Easy Rider' in 1969).
